Republic Day





The Italian Republic Day is a day that is celebrated to commemorate the birth of the Italian Republic. It is celebrated every year on June 2, the date on which the institutional referendum of 1946 was carried out.
The main celebration takes place in Rome and includes the deposition of a laurel wreath in tribute to the Unknown Soldier at the Altar of the Fatherland by the President of the Italian Republic and a military parade along the Via dei Fori Imperiali.
